Vienna Bulldogs und Vienna Homerunners bilden einen neuen Verein, der ab kommender Saison eine neue Struktur haben wird (inklusive B-Team, C-Team, Schülerteam, Softballteam, Fun-Team, etc!!!).

Das gemeinsame A-Team (Baseball) heisst ab sofort
Vienna MetroStars.
Weiters wurden bei der GV am 15.12.2001 die Awards f. die vergangene Saison vergeben.

The season's over.
Tim stayed - Rigo has departed. We are not sure how far SwissAir will be able to take him, but we hope he will be reunited with friends and family by tonight. If not, he will certainly enjoy Candyland (Switzerland).
We hope you come back next year, Rigo - we are working on the fulfillment of the conditions you have posed.
Bulldogs lose the best-of-three series to the Kufstein Vikings and finish their 2001 season in 4th place.
Markus Schwarz pitched 2 innings and 1 pitch in his last career appearance on the mound in game 1 of the series. After 15 years of dedication to baseball, the 'old man' decided to 'finally really retire' - in spite, or maybe because, of having an outstanding 2001 season with the Vienna Bulldogs.
New old pictures have been posted on the bulldogs-history - page. It's really quite an amount of pictures (mostly from the old days, about 10 years ago), so it may take a while to load the whole page. But it's worth the effort - check it out!!!
